The vital role that Higher Education plays in national development and progress is acknowledged by one and all during the last five decades since independence. Nation has witnessed a rapid expansion in the field of higher education besides primary and secondary school education.
Therefore, unlike most developing countries, India can be proud of having developed a system which is capable of meeting most of the human resource needs of the country in all disciplines and professions. However, the issues, which are of vital concern today to all of us, are the quality and the relevance of education with specific reference to the incessantly varying socio-economic milieu.
The road to development of a nation is through the educational system. If any compromise is made with the education system at any level, it is certainly going to jeopardize the socio-economic development of the country. The process of globalization has actually posed a challenge for the Indians to become self-sufficient. The major problem, which we face today, therefore, is to increase the relevance of education to the developmental needs of the nation.

I am extremely happy on this occasion of getting the college assessed and accredited by the NAAC, as it will again boost up our spirits.
